Built on a ladder type tubular chassis with Ford 100e components and hydraulic brakes,very few survive and only 2 are known to the register while only 1 of those retains its original body. The other had a coming together with a large truck and was re-built with a fibreglass body. Perhaps the source of all those myths about the MkVl having been built with plastic bodies. The cost of making the alloy body was prohibitive when compared with a Sprite or Midget of the time.
